“Retraining Courses for Practicing Accountans from Gosh & Tatev”

Introduction to the project

The aim of the project was to retrain 4 accountants from Gosh and Tatev regions according to the

New Armenian Accounting Standards, News Chart of Accounts and Tax system of the RA.

The retraining course duration was 80 hours and contained the following modules:

1. Financial Accounting,
2. The main Armenian Accounting Standards and new Chart of Accounts, as well as the implementation methodology,
3. Applied Accounting,
4. Tax system of RA.

Major outputs resulting from the implementation of this project were:

   – 4 accountants from Gosh and Tatev regions were trained for a total of 80 hours;

   – Good understanding of the main principles of the Armenian Accounting Law and Accounting Standards

     delivered;

   – Good understanding of the main principles of the Tax System of the RA delivered;

   – Proficiency in preparing financial statements and proper accomplishment with governmental bodies;

   – Use of Accounting Standards and New Chart of Accounts adopted in the RA;

   – Readiness to sit and pass Accountants National qualification exams provided by 

     the Ministry of Finance and Economy of RA.
